A constant problem in food processing and beverage production is the damage that can be done by
water during cleansing and washing down of equipment. Conventional hydraulic oils can be
contaminated by water and detergents and will very quickly break down and become thick and
sticky emulsions.

Molykote L-1346FG is a synthetic hydraulic oil which features a viscosity of 20W (46 ISO)
with a VI of 112. The oil's anti-wear additives also meet ASTM D 2882, which is the
standard for piston and vane pumps used for pressures lower than 2,000 psi. (138 bars)
